Welcome to the Historic Honeysuckle House in Downtown Lavonia, Georgia.
Nestled in the heart of downtown Lavonia in northeast Georgia, this gorgeous home was built in the 1890's and is part of the local Historic District. This charming and welcoming event space provides an enchanting setting for every celebratory occasion as well as corporate and team building events and conventions. We recommend it for weddings, receptions, reunions, birthday parties, retirement parties, celebrations of life, workshops, holiday parties, as well as any other cause you may have to celebrate.
Southern Charm
The space has soaring wood ceilings, heart pine floors, a deep wraparound porch, and beautiful spots for pictures. There is a classic bar room for your guests to shrug off their wraps and grab a drink from the bartenders of your choosing.
Simple Elegance
For the nearlyweds, there is a beautiful private bridal chamber with a semi-private porch, as well as a groom's safari room with an originally tiled fireplace and cozy furniture. The house boasts a prep kitchen for caterers, complete with a serving window that opens to our seasonally decorated room.
Our Story
Honeysuckle House is a home for all celebrations! Gary and Liz Warenfelt started dreaming of their own venue after getting married in the fall of 2023. They fell in love with the idea of merging their passions in order to honor the unique joy that a gathering of people brings. Together they bring decades of experience in the service industry and have developed an understanding of the art of hospitality, presentation, and the unique attention that each person and event deserves. Liz and Gary believe that in our time here on earth, every milestone is worth celebrating beautifully

Location
Honeysuckle House is located in beautiful downtown Lavonia, just a short walk away from several restaurants, a brewery, and shopping opportunities for your guests. It is a short drive to overnight accommodations and less than half an hour from Lake Hartwell. Nestled in the Northeast Georgia mountains, it is five minutes from I-85 halfway between Atlanta and Greenville SC.
Capacity
Honeysuckle House is a 2,354 square foot historic house with a beautiful outdoor space that can host 150 people for standing events and outdoor/indoor parties or 85 for indoor or seated events.
